A newly created opportunity has become available within our Insurance team. This part-time position supports the Relationship Manager in the day-to-day operations of WAW’s Insurance Department – Insurance Mutual.

Position Purpose:

  • To deepen relationships with customers, by building rapport and identifying our customers’ insurance needs.
  • To provide a high level of quality personalised service that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
  • A strong sales focus and customer service ethic is required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To meet individual and department Key Performance Indicators as set by management.
  • To provide efficient, honest and fair service to internal and external customers within an acceptable timeframe.
  • To work collaboratively with other WAW employees and maintain a harmonious environment by possessing a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Deal and provide general advice on the following products and services:
  • General Insurance Products
  • Basic Deposit Products
  • Non Cash Payment Services
  • Conduct all business in adherence with all codes, standards and legislative requirements and WAW policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role you should have the following:

  • HSC, VCE or equivalent, or a minimum two years work experience in a financial or insurance environment.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Financial Services experience preferred.
  • Insurance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of customer service techniques.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services Regime (FSR), Privacy Act, National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) and other financial legislation preferred.
