ABOUT THE COMPANY
An Australian financial services organisation has an exciting opportunity for a risk professional to join immediately, to help implement and further develop their operational risk framework. Reporting into Senior Management level.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Conduct root cause analysis of loss incidents, and help identify areas for improvement to address any weaknesses identified
- Conducting Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA’s)
- Providing risk advice and reporting to the Board
- Oversight of first line of defence controls assurance activities
- Provide training and coaching in risks management to staff as appropriate
- To promote and drive a strong risk and controls culture that optimises risk / reward
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- You MUST be immediately available!
- Degree qualifications in a risk-related discipline
- Good understanding of the financial services industry
- Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively
- Ability to translate risk issues into business/customer focussed solutions
- Operational risk advisory experience
