About You

Our client is looking for a Home Loan Assistant (any level of experience considered) who is an excellent communicator, team player, and able to multi-task and juggle a busy workload. If you are someone with excellent mathematics ability, high attention to detail, and enjoys proactively assisting clients and your team, then this role is for you. 

You are sensitive to clients' needs and have the ability to develop warm and strong relationships in person and over the phone. You will be computer literate and possess a strong desire to transfer your exceptional customer service skills to help support the growth of a boutique and cutting edge credit advisory business (mortgage broker business).

Applicants living in the South West Corridor with a successful background in customer service, or administration, are encouraged to apply! Applicants with an understanding of the credit process and experience in loan processing will be considered favourably.

The Role

The company is one, which prides itself on the development of its team. This role has come about through a promotion of an existing team member and as a result, the company has a vacancy for a Home Loan Assistant to support its team of successful Home Loan Advisors.

As a Home Loan Assistant, your primary responsibility is to support the Home Loan Advisors and the company's client's with: 

  • Greeting clients on the phone or who attend the office in a warm and friendly manner. Answering questions that you can, or referring them to the appropriate team member.
  • Assisting the Home Loan Advisors with researching, gathering and collating all of the required client paperwork required for completing servicing calculators, loan worksheets and assessing lending capacity. 
  • Ordering valuations and pricing requests. 
  • Completing client needs analysis, compliance documentation, loan file notes. 
  • Liaising with clients and lenders to ensure a smooth customer experience from home loan lodgement to settlement. 
  • Performing all work in accordance with industry, legislative and compliance standards as trained by supportive team members.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a Customer Service/Receptionist/Admin role within Banking, Finance or Mortgage Broking. 
  • High level of attention to detail and sound mathematical ability
  • Experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office suite
