The Company:

The role of Financial Analyst sits within the Corporate Finance team with one of Australia's leading banks. The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, key responsibilities will include:
  • The development of reporting rules associated with the regulations in each jurisdiction that the Group operates in
  • Effective execution of operations to ensure all regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction are met
  • Monitoring the listed equities for substantial shareholding reporting and statutory Limit purposes
  • Submission of filing reports across the 74 countries as required.
  • Liaising with key legal partners in order to obtain necessary legal advice and translation services
  • The delivery and ongoing maintenance of reporting rules within the systems for every jurisdiction the Group operates in.
  • Recommend changes to processes and systems, with measurable business benefits, based on current and future customer needs, knowledge of the system, analysis and performance.
  • The delivery of timely and accurate reporting to the relevant exchange or stakeholder.
  • Responding to company requests for further details regarding published substantial notices.
  • Ensuring data completeness is maintained by conducting reconciliations of holdings, funds and static data.
  • Establish effective relationships with stakeholders in business units, Financial Services and with external service providers.
  • Contribute to the productivity agenda for Accounting & Reporting Operations and Financial Operations.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification relating to areas of Law, Finance, or Risk
  • Process / solution design experience
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Experience in roles requiring high levels of accuracy, tight delivery times, competing priorities and embedding of controls
  • Experience in establishing strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders at varied levels of expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders across numerous jurisdictions involving differences in processes and cultures.
