The opportunity? As part of the Toll Group’s new growth strategy, one of Toll’s key Business Units are seeking a Senior Accounting Team Leader to join their finance team and lead a team of 5 Financial Accountants.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Providing assistance to the business in general finance, accounting and system related matters
- Ensuring process compliance for month end accounting and journals, intercompany accounts and charges, ABS data capture, annual insurance questionnaires, income tax and FBT returns
- Ensuring KPI and financial summary deadlines are met
- Identification of cost control and expense reduction opportunities
- Active involvement in corporate financial reporting matters and improvements
- Ensuring integrity of financial results is maintained at all times
- Assessment of team strengths and development requirements and training to support these requirements
- Recruitment of new team members as required
- Assisting with other ad hock project work
- Providing other assistance as required
The ideal candidate? As the successful candidate you will be tertiary qualified with a solid financial accounting track record and strong knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and principals. You will have previous supervisory experience in a similar position. You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated experience in implementing process improvement initiatives. Experience working within a shared services function would be advantageous.
