The Role

As the Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that McGregor Coxall receives payments for professional services fees, and records these transactions
accordingly.

  • Follow up on all assigned debts (via phone and email) on an ongoing basis, to ensure all debtors are maintained.
  • Transactional processing, receipting of revenues
  • Answer queries/resolve disputes relating to debtor accounts with clients and internal project managers
  • Follow up any purchase orders numbers that are required by a third party for their payment process.
  • Maintaining the receivables contacts records in the data base
  • Assisting in with monthly financial reporting
  • Within this role there is a small account payable component of reconciling the company credit cards on a monthly basis
  • Handling customer enquiries to finance related tasks and queries
  • Provide assistance to the Chief Financial Officer with any general or ad-hoc duties as and when required

About You

  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable (2+ years) is essential
  • MUST HAVE excellent account reconciliation skills - GL and Bank Reconciliations
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Friendly, professional and hard working personality
  • A good team player
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills – both verbal and written
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using XERO are highly desirable
