Australian top tier Banking client have engaged Aston Carter to support on the delivery of a rare Financial Reporting Manager vacancy within the Group Reporting division. The client is an immediately recognised local leader with a strong prescence in Investment Banking and Financial Markets, they have a reputation for providing outstanding career opportunity and a unique technical learning environment. The Financial Reporting Manager is a newly created position, it is focused on adding to the Group Reporting and Control team and its best in class mentality. You will be entrusted to partner with the Group Reporting, Divisional Finance and Operational teams in implementing and operationalising the IFRS 9 changes and several system/automation improvements. You will have a rare dual function with oversight over much of the BAU delivery but also play a heavy part in many project intiativies, as well as an ability to develop your own technical knowledge and skills within a world leading environment.
To be successful in the role you will be from a Big 4 background or be a Big 4 First Mover and have a strong Banking and Financial Services background, with exposure in the Investment Banking and Financial Markets space. An indepth knowledge in Accounting Standards and Technical Financial Reporting are essential. A personal passion for a automation and continuous improvement will be essential given the heavy project exposure and drive for best in class within the division.
