Best Beach Resort is a tourist resort in Cairns. We currently own a Hotel with 150 room, two restaurants, two travel agencies, one winery and Cairns famous attraction "Double Island". To support business growth, we are looking for an experienced and qualified Accountant.

About the role

• Oversee all aspects of financial operations for the group
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place
• Setup internal audit system
• Prepare company procedures document
• Prepare weekly, monthly financial analysis and reporting
• Prepare budget and cashflow forecasts
• Prepare weekly payroll and payable
• Reconciliation of cash and bank
• Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring invoicing is completed promptly and payment terms are met
• Assist in BAS and payroll tax reporting
• Liasing with external accountants
• Maintain registrations and insurances

Skills and experience

• 3-5 years' accounting experience
• Professional Accounting degree with or working towards CPA/CA
• Strong attention to detail, organization and numeracy skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong Microsoft office skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work within a small team environment
• Australian driver licence
• Chinese literacy is preferred
