About the Opportunity
Deloitte Restructuring is Australia’s leading fully integrated national practice providing insolvency, contingency planning, financial restructuring and turnaround advisory services to businesses, capital providers and the public sector.
Our business is about capital at risk, where it has been poorly used or market conditions have not been conducive to success. Sometimes that capital is merely underperforming other times it will be facing serious crisis.
Whether we are advising the providers of capital or the management whose job it is to deliver a return, our job is to help our clients face this risk and make the best decisions to protect and recover value whether it be through turning around operations, restructuring a balance sheet or by leading through an insolvency process to effect a restructure or protect stakeholder interests.
About the Contingency Planning, Insolvency and Financial Restructuring team
We support management, owners, lenders, creditors and other stakeholders of companies facing financial distress. We provide strategic, commercial and financial expertise to assess options for stakeholders to maximise their positions either through an informal restructure, formal insolvency restructure or using insolvency processes to protect value and stakeholder positions. Our team works across the private and listed markets with deep relationships across legal, banking and alternate financiers networks locally and globally.
Our Perth office has grown significantly over the last few years, both in the scale of assignments successfully undertaken and size of the team. To support this growth, we are currently looking for new team members to join our Perth office at various levels, i.e. Analyst and Senior Analyst.
About You
You will ideally be able to demonstrate;
- As an Analyst - 2 years plus financial analysis, restructuring advisory and insolvency experience with a thorough understanding of insolvency procedures and their application, as well as sound report writing abilities
- As a Senior Analyst - advanced financial analysis skills and understanding of insolvency procedures, superior presentation and report writing skills
- Knowledge of Australian legislation applicable to insolvency
- Strong undergraduate academic performance
- A related post-graduate qualification or currently studying (CA ideal)
- ARITA/ TMA qualification would be viewed as an advantage
