The Role

Reporting to the Group General Manager - Global Business Services, the Senior Manager - Accounts Payable is the single point of service owner for the Toll Global Business Services AP function. This role is to provide strategic and intellectual leadership within GBS to grow and build the operational capability of the AP function, across the globe for Toll.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and leadership to grow and build the operational capability of the AP function by actively seeking continuous improvement opportunities and best practices
  • Accountable for the delivery and execution of standard AP processes.
  • Accountable for the operational effectiveness of controls operated by the AP team.
  • Responsible for the identification and effective management of AP operational risk.
  • Establish service and process performance and reporting measures to provide an effective basis for decision-making and performance management.
  • Manage qualitative and quantitative service levels according to the agreed Service Management Framework.
  • Lead and manage the daily operations of Toll’s global AP function
  • Lead and support direct reports enabling and motivating them to make high quality decisions and provide effective service to staff

Skills & Experience

  • Working experience of managing service delivery for AP shared services
  • Experience in managing performance through standard performance measures (KPIs, OLAs)
  • Ability to drive the process standardisation and simplification, by making optimal use of system controls and available technical solutions.
  • People and process management experience in a shared services environment (team size: > 30+)
  • Familiarity with large scale business transformation programme, and the ability to drive deliverables to an outcome
  • Current shared services industry knowledge and the ability to maintain and apply this knowledge.
  • Transport and Logistics industry experience (desirable).
