This exciting and newly created Senior Management Accountant role is with a global market leading business based in Sydney’s CBD. You will gain exposure to broad operational and commercial areas of the business in this genuinely business partnering role, working closely with high-calibre and supportive Operational and Finance leads across Australia, including impressive CFO and Financial Controller. You will also be interacting directly with quality clients, working across a portfolio of key accounts, as well as visibility with other key external stakeholders.

The role
This is an active and varied role with a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Taking ownership for the Management Accounting for a specialist portfolio of key clients
- Business partnering with key operational and finance leads across Australia
- Providing various monthly/annual management and financial reporting on the client accounts
- Preparation of annual budgets, business plans and monthly rolling forecasts
- Driving process improvements and ensure working capital is managed effectively
- Financial modelling
- Ensuring audit and SOX compliance is maintained across client portfolio
- Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all accounting matters related to the clients
Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will be:
- A management accountant, with 4+ years’ proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis etc
- Degree (business, accounting or finance) and CA/CPA/CIMA qualified
- Likely to have started in Big 4 or mid-tier firm, with more recent commercial experience
- Ideally experienced in an account-based or client-facing environment
- Analytically and commercially minded
- Confident to build relationships, ask questions and challenge assumptions when needed
- Driven, proactive and solutions-focused
- Advanced Excel skills
