An exciting opportunity for a hands-on Financial Controller and Company Secretary to support the CEO in a dynamic ASX listed company. 

This is a fast-growing company expanding into overseas markets with a strong track record in the development of ethical therapeutic and cosmetic treatments.

The Role:

As the leading finance professional in the business, you will be required to ensure that financial reporting, tax returns, half-year and full year accounts, audits and all other statutory requirements are completed accurately and on time.

You will be responsible for all governance, company secretarial, risk management, insurance and related compliance matters including but not limited to:

• ASIC and ASX compliance: Be the key resource on the management team for corporate and securities legal issues; prepare and lodge timely filings and company announcements; assure compliance with corporate governance best practices;

• Act as the contact person for interactions with ASIC, ASX and other regulatory bodies if required; coordinate and file investor communications (e.g. AGM, announcements and press releases, investor conference calls);

• Australian legal matters: Assure compliance with Australian laws, including employment laws, superannuation, equity participation plans and assure compliance with all tax laws.

• Coordinate Board Meetings: Take responsibility for scheduling of regular board meetings; prepare agendas and minutes in a timely and accurate manner; assure appropriate documentation of board resolutions; follow-up with directors to assure resolution of action items arising from meetings, work with and report to board members as required;

• Risk management: Evaluate company risk profile and implement risk mitigation measures; ensure appropriate insurance coverage for company activities.

The Candidate:

• Must be CA qualified finance executive with extensive commercial and financial management skills
• Must have experience in working in a listed company
• Must have strong technical knowledge of accounting, tax, finance, governance, risk management and insurance
• Must be a thorough project manager delivering timely and accurate reports with attention to detail
• Minimum 5 years senior accounting experienced in an Australian listed company would be ideal
• Experience as company secretary

This is a senior position and an attractive remuneration package will be offered depending on qualifications and experience. The position offers the opportunity to advance to the CFO role.
