Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Managing Director, we have a rare opportunity for a qualified Company Accountant to join our high performing Australian operations, based in Dandenong South.

This role provides a great opportunity to work with a young progressive team and provide real time financial and management information to help deliver the growth results our international group is seeking.

Cryoquip provides engineered solutions to a variety of industries, employing tertiary qualified engineers, trade qualified welders and fabricators and specialised technicians.  The business provides not only manufactured systems, but also installation, service and spares parts.

POSITION PROFILE

• Responsible for all financial functions of the company including internal controls, financial reporting, payroll, financial forecasts and business systems.
• Post, review and reconcile various daily accounting transactions and balances.
• Complete year end close and support audit efforts by outside auditors.  Provide support for the completion of the federal, state and local tax filings.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting package and submit within five-day close cycle to U.S. based parent company.
• Oversee the integrity and safeguarding of the business information database and underlying management information system.
• Perform, review and provide analysis for the standard cost system.  Oversee and monitor the underlying systems for the proper valuation of inventory and work in process.
• Manage cash and working capital.  Advise management on methods of improving cash availability and reducing working capital.
• Communicate timely financial information as required by company, parent and corporate management.
• Provide rolling monthly financial forecasts.  Compile annual business plan.
• Manage weekly and biweekly payroll processing.

Experience required

• Degree in accounting or finance required.
• At least 4 years in a similar role in industry or public accounting. 
• Experience managing staff.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting closing cycle, business processes and internal controls.
• Good understanding of costing and ERP systems
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Track record of improving processes and creating efficiencies
• Familiarity with payroll processing.

We are looking for a hands on team player with a proven track record of working with other functional managers to achieve corporate goals, whilst providing the weekly, monthly, and annual financial reporting in an efficient and timely manner.
