Project Management Accountant
$350 - $400 per day contract

Ambition are delighted to be partnering with a large, complex FMCG company on a unique and compelling opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to undertake the role of Project management Accountant for an initial period of 6 months.
Due to significant business wins and a plethora of high-level projects, they are looking for a Project Accountant to take the lead on an existing portfolio of high level, complex projects.
The role is a blend of providing management accounts on important projects, coupled with business partnering and reporting to stakeholders, always ensuring the projects stay on track, on time and within budget.
The role:
- Manage multiple Projects, ranging from $1M - $60 Million
- Preparing financial and management reports on a monthly basis
- Automate reports to increase efficiency to meet the needs of key stakeholders
- Collaborate with the project leadership team to validate forecast numbers and establish budgets
- Prepare and maintain development cost trackers for each Project
- Prepare regular reports for each project, reconciling spend against budget
- Partner with the Project Directors and Leadership team to ensure the project deliverables are achieved on time and on budget
Essential skills/Experience required:
- Minimum 3 years Project accounting experience
- CA/CPA or equivalent Accountant with strong management accounts experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate
- Strong Excel skills and an aptitude for large ERP systems
The role is an initial six months contract; however the business has many exciting projects in the pipeline, and this will create future opportunities within the organisation.
