Our client is currently seeking an experienced professional to partner with the business to deliver business solutions within the Financial Governance space.

Joining this high profile team, you will be a part of the monitoring and mitigation of financial reporting risk for the business via the design and execution of an effective quality assurance and governance program. The role plays a key role to ensure the Business maintains compliant with Group finance, operational and regulatory policies and procedures. 

The finance group here takes responsibility for: 

  • Formulation, implementation and monitoring of accounting policies and internal controls. 
  • Compliance with statutory and regulatory financial reporting requirement. 
  • Accountable for the integrity of the numbers by delivering an assurance program and support of BAU practices in Financial Control to ensure accurate, reliable and timely financial information.
  • Ensuring that the processes are streamlined & above all embedding a strong governance culture.

What you will bring to the role

  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Professional Services experience (Manager Level or Above) in External Audit or Risk Advisory
  • Experience dealing with financial services businesses or large listed corporates
  • A strong controls and assurance mindset
  • Passion for technical accounting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and building relationship abilities 

In addition, you are expected to have a have good business acumen, a self-starter, motivated and have high quality verbal, written and communication skills as you will be dealing with complex issues and high profile individuals/groups.
