The Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will be able to take complete ownership for your range of accounts payable customers.
- Matching, batching and coding of invoices and following up on any discrepancies
- Handling supplier payment queries
- Preparation, allocation of costs to correct G/L accounts
- Contribute accounts payable information to other departments upon request
- Liaising with the Purchasing Officer and operations staff
- Coordinate the accounts payable system, including vendor details, record of payments and filing systems
- Reconciling supplier statements to AP ledger to ensure all Company liabilities are recorded in a timely manner
- Playing your part in ensuring we meet compliance requirements in accordance with our internal controls system
- Backup reception including booking flights and accommodation
What are we looking for in you?
- A team player who is happy to help others and takes pride in their work.
- 2 to 3 years' experience in a full functioning accounts payable role
- You will have solid accounts payable knowledge (ideally in a SAGE – Timberline) and a practical application in a construction environment would be advantageous.
- Enjoy working with excel and know your way around a spreadsheet.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills.
- Start immediately (hours 8am to 4.30pm)
