Divisional Accountant 13m contract

We are looking for a Financial Accountant on a 13m maternity leave contract. Reporting to the Senior Divisional Accountant you will be supporting the broader finance team with a range of month end activities, tracking costs and spend across departments.

We continue to integrate with our US parent company of two years, Hanes Brands, which has increased the portfolio, scope and volume of work across the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to our business and work with some highly talented finance professionals.

A day in the life of …

You'll need to be someone who can hit the ground running and learn quickly. We need this person to jump in and support the team by picking up a range of tasks including:

• Month end activities, promotional spend calculations, rebate calculations, royalty calculations, balance sheet reconciliations, standing accruals
• Promotional spend management, including working closely with sales managers
• Commissions payments
• Royalties management
• Process improvement
• Compliance with SOX framework

What experience do I have?

• CA qualified - audit training highly desirable 
• Proven financial accounting skills - you have to know your debits and credits
• Commercial in-business experience in a large, complex organisation - preferable
• Understanding of process mapping and documenting workflows
• Exposure to SOX, compliance & governance management
• Flexible, adaptable, easy-going style - open minded and keen to help out where required
• Naturally curious and a problem solver
• Positive attitude and confident stakeholder manager
