Your New Opportunity
Penske is a one-stop shop for sales, service and parts for Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, MTU, Detroit & Allison. An excellent opportunity exists for an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team and work in our office in Chipping Norton.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will maintain and develop account requirements, provide financial reporting, and promote sound business practices to stakeholders.
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Coordinating and closing the month end process
- Preparing General Ledger Reconciliations
- Undertake fixed Assets Reconciliation and maintenance
- Review and prepare data for monthly reports
- Assist with the compilation of data for the Corporate Taxation Return, FBT returns and submission of GST returns
- Assist with forecasts and the preparation of budgets for business departments
About you
- Degree level qualifications in Accounting, with at least 1-3 years accounting experience
- Beginning or plan to begin CA/CPA Program
- Understanding of relevant Accounting Standards and Tax requirements
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Experience in the interpretation and analysis of General Ledgers and exposure to large ERP systems
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
