MARS Recruitment are currently recruiting an exceptional opportunity with an ASX listed company who are looking to bring in a first mover from a business services or audit background who is keen to expand their skill set in a commercial environment.

Whilst being grounded in a financial reporting function, the role provides significant exposure to management accounting and involvement with project-based tasks, providing the perfect opportunity for first movers looking to move from a chartered environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Monthly reporting of results vs budget and analytical review of balance sheet and profit and loss
• Preparation of financial statements and statutory accounts for the group
• Ensure all accountancy and reporting procedures are up-to-date with legislated requirements
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of year end tax returns and BAS 
• Provide insightful analysis of results on a monthly basis
• Proactively be involved in developing and maintaining the reporting system, managing and developing changes and enhancements as required
• Partner with the business and support them through timely answers for any queries
• Management and consolidation of Corporate entities and dealing with auditors with regards to audit queries
• Completion of weekly cash flow forecasts 
• Ad hoc project work 

Essential Criteria

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related discipline
• CA/CPA Qualified (near completion will be considered)
• 2-5 years experience working in a chartered environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate Excel Ability 
• Collaborative work style
