The Sunshine Coast Airport is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide effective and efficient analysis support to the Finance Manager, CFO and the broader business. 

The airport recently celebrated servicing 1 million passengers, and with a new runway planned for 2020, the airport is expecting a period of growth and development. This role is an opportunity to join a well-established, dynamic organisation during an exciting development phase.

Your new role

Key responsibilities include: 

• Develop and maintain management reporting to track performance toward key financial and operational metrics to meet data and insight requirements;
  
• Analyse financial performance to budget/forecast and provide insight into underlying drivers;
  
• Partner with functional leaders to enable informed analytics-driven decision making;
  
• Undertake effective and informative analysis to ensure appropriate operational and capital expenditure is managed within budget;
  
• Undertake financial analysis for input and assessment of business cases;
  
• Develop tools and systems to monitor revenue streams and provide timely feedback where issues may arise;
  
• Support the Finance Manager and CFO in business development activities including due diligence, financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis;
  
• Develop and maintain standardised processes and reporting to drive efficiencies;
  
• Provide support for the aeronautical pricing model and negotiations with the airlines;

About the Successful Candidate

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Management or Business;
  
• Extensive experience in analysis;
  
• High level of proficiency in computer system applications, including integrated financial systems, databases, spreadsheets and personal application software;
  
• Current "C" class Driver's Licence;
  
• Appointment will be conditional on the candidate being eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC);
  
• Successful candidate will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
