About the role
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Finance Officer to join our Finance team for a period of 12 months (with the possibility of extension). The role is full time (flexible arrangements are available). Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team. We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant/Officer with a good understanding of double entry and AP processes who can hit the ground running!
What you’ll need to succeed
- Relevant finance/business qualification and/or equivalent experience in AP
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and legislative requirements
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to create positive working relationships with both the finance and wider staff teams
- An innovative, proactive and collaborative approach
- A positive 'can do' attitude
- Commitment to the principles of WHS, EEO, Cultural Diversity, Wallara’s values and all relevant legislation
- A background in disability, social purpose or community services would be advantageous
Must haves
- Right to work in Australia
- Mandatory police check will be conducted
- Victorian drivers licence
