Our client is a large, CBD based, ASX listed corporate with operations spread nationally and a strong brand. An established player in a mature, complex and lucrative market, they have entered a period of accelerated growth driven by an aggressive acquisition strategy and large CAPEX investment programs.
The Role
In a highly visible function, the Corporate Finance team is responsible for building complex financial models and providing analytical support to facilitate group wide investment decisions, M&A transactions, strategic initiatives and commercial decision making.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing valuation analysis.
- Maintaining the corporate model for the purpose of business planning, debt financing, tax planning, shareholder valuations and business investment decisions.
- Develop and own financial models to support scenario analysis for business cases, including IRR analysis.
- Deliver analysis and insight to stakeholders through the corporate valuation model.
- Review, refine and take ownership of externally developed financial models.
The successful candidate will be a CA/CPA/CFA qualified finance professional with the following skills/experience:
- Ability to design, build and review complex financial models using Excel.
- Experience with DCF analysis, project finance modelling and scenario analysis.
- Knowledge of financial statements and valuation concepts.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand the implications of financial analysis and provide insight to stakeholders.
- Ability to explain complex concepts to a wide audience.
- Experience working with large long-term infrastructure assets will be highly regarded.
