• Assistant Accountant - Diverse reponsibilities

• $60k to $70k plus super

The Role:

Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for the production of financial statements and records and ensure the timeliness of monthly financial reports and accuracy of the general ledgers. This is a diverse and exciting role, with duties including:

• Accounts payable processing
• Accountants receivable (noting this is very simple)
• Assisting with the month end and audit process
• Assisting with tax compliance (Including income tax, BAS, FBT, payroll tax)
• Assisting with payroll
• Monitoring cash flow
• Assisting with process improvements
• Various ad hoc tasks as directed by the Financial accountant and Finance Director

The Company:

This company are well established and are recently private equity owned. They are looking to grow significantly over the next 5 years and as such this represents an outstanding opportunity for someone to gain significant finance exposure. Reporting directly to a Big 4 CFO, you will learn from the best.

Requirements:

• You will ideally be a qualified or nearly qualified CA/ CPA Accountant with at least 4 years of experience within a financial accounting role. First movers from big 4 are also encouraged to apply.
• Effective communication skills and ability to resolve supplier discrepancies
• Ability to liaise with fellow employees in a professional manner
• You will need good systems experience including advanced Excel
• Ability to work unsupervised, show initiative and self-motivation
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to perform duties as instructed within the scope of the position.
