The Company

My client is a well-known Australian retail label. Well-established locally, they are expanding rapidly throughout Australia and are looking into further growth plans, through acquisition as well as international expansion. The Role

You will report directly into the Financial Controller, sitting in a team of 5. You will have 2 junior accountants underneath you that you will be mentoring and overseeing. You’ll have an end-to-end Accounting role, looking after the Financial and Management Accounting functions. You will be responsible for:

• Month end and year end reporting
• Maintaining and developing the financial control framework
• Working with store managers to explain finances
• Completing all monthly and quarterly budgeting & forecasting
• Margin and variance analysis
• Monitoring inventory levels and identifying slow moving inventory
• Any ad hoc projects that may come up

Your Profile

You will have experience in Management & Financial Accounting in Retail or experience auditing Retail companies. You will also:

• CA/CPA Qualification
• 3+ years local Big 4 experience preferred
• Retail or inventory experience is highly desired
• Ability to communicate with non-financial staff
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ambitious and highly motivated
