In this newly created role, you will assist Transpire to meet our financial expectations and goals. You will provide accurate and timely management reports, ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements, and build an efficient finance function to help us scale effectively. This role is for a self-starter to own and build the internal finance function at Transpire.
What you’ll do:
- Presentation and analysis of relevant monthly management reports
- Ensuring all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements are met
- Review of externally prepared annual financial statements
- Review and perform analysis of debtors ledgers
- Assist leadership in development of budgets that support overall business strategy
- Work with external accountants to facilitate remittance of monthly payroll
- Review and manage cash forecasts
- Explore cash management/optimisation opportunities
- Assist with banking requests
- Assist with Group insurance requirements
- Assist with the development, implementation and documentation of policies and procedures that improve workflow and interactions between Sales and Delivery
- Liaise with external accountants and tax advisors, as required
- Assist with implementation of an integrated software stack
- Manage relationships with all Team Leads to build their financial management skills
- Develop and maintain open and trusting relationships with key suppliers
- Promote Transpire to the industry in a professional manner.
What you’ll bring:
- CA or CPA Qualified
- 5+ year's experience (minimum) post qualified
- Analytical and commercial mindset
- Xero experience (preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- People management and leadership experience
- Good communication skills and stakeholder management
- Strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision making
- Energy and drive, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
