A large reputable firm in Sydney has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant, who is looking for a new challenge. Having recently won new business they have created this position to assist the business across various divisions.
This position will work closely with senior management to ensure that all business strategies are rolled out and executed successfully. Fantastic role if you are looking to progress to a Senior Accountant once qualified.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance Manager with budgeting and forecasting on a monthly & annual basis
- Work with senior management and key business stakeholders on market analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Review daily cash flow
- Assist in end of the month, quarterly & yearly reporting
- Prepare accruals, prepayments and journal entries
- Make business recommendations on market trends and complex issues
- Monthly P&L analysis and provide commentary on variance to budget
- Assist in internal and external audit
- Ad hoc system and process improvement projects
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in related field
- Looking to commence a CA or CPA qualification
- Minimum 2 years of commercial or chartered experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to explain concepts to non-financial stakeholders and build external & internal relationships
