The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity at our Corporate Office for a Payroll Officer on a Part time basis. This is a challenging role which will allow you to utilise your previous skills and experience whilst building relationships within all levels of the business.
Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Officer's primary role is to assist with all payroll functions for the Company within the Human Resources Department. Further duties will include:
Key responsibilities of the role are to:
- Assist with completion of the monthly and bi-monthly payroll.
- Administration of all personnel records, both hard copy and electronic to ensure that data is kept up to date at all times and complies with statutory record keeping requirements and the Company's Quality System.
- Assisting with all employee queries.
- Liaise with the Human Resource Advisers to ensure new employees into the business and exiting current employees are handled in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with payroll reports and complete end of month functions and reporting. This includes Superannuation payments, Workers Compensation claims, payroll tax, terminations, new employee information.
- Assist with the development of all payroll procedures and processes.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum of three (3) years experience with a large payroll.
- Pronto experience essential.
- Experience with pieceworks desirable.
- High level of Microsoft Office skills (including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook).
- Professional and demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to use initiative, effectively plan and prioritise work to achieve targets with minimal supervision.
