We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and enhance the effectiveness of the Medtronic customer group through insightful analysis on business performance, market & competitor's dynamics whilst influencing the strategic direction and execution. In this role, you will provide financial evaluation and enable decision making on execution plans and investments to help Medtronic maximize revenue, long term profits and cash-flows. Your key focuses will be to manage and work with key stakeholders within the business and functions at a local, APAC and Global level.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure that all monthly, quarterly and annual BU / corporate reporting and review requirements are fulfilled to meet deadlines.

• Provide timely, accurate analysis with succinct commentary of financial & commercial performance; monitor progress

• Provide strong commercial/financial decision support to Regional Business & Finance Leaders.

• Deliver special projects / ad-hoc financial reporting as needed.

  Provide financial insights within the business leadership team that enhances awareness and facilitates strategic business decision making

• Able to perform advanced, robust financial and feasibility analyses, incorporating finance, commercial, regulatory and market dynamics into the modelling.

• Able to partner with other functions and take lead in driving functional initiatives to impact business results.

• Analyze competitive information and link to tactical/strategic plans.

• Partner with other AP Region Business finance teams to facilitate standardization of processes and ensure solid business reporting and analytics for country business leaders

• Drive opportunities for continuous improvement, develop clear points of view and articulate these to management.

Must have:

• A sense of humour

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting based role in a multinational environment, with more than 2 years in financial planning and analysis / commercial environment preferred

• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence decision making

• Proven experience in establishing guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, reporting actuals and variance analysis 

• Knowledge of marketing, strategy concepts, financial modelling & negotiation

• Experience in project management, business information and reporting systems would be an advantage

• Entrepreneurial flare

Nice to have:

• SAP & Hyperion experience highly advantageous
