The Role
As a key member of the Commercial Team, you will be accountable for providing the business analysis function to effect the achievement of the Company business objectives. High level analytical reviews of operating performances will include development of trend analysis and bench marking against global best practice. Scenario analysis, statistical and Monte Carlo simulation will be part of your brief as will be identifying stakeholder needs, designing the appropriate financial modelling and analytical tools, and for their implementation.
The Skillset
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in a financial discipline, ideally supported by Post Graduate qualifications such as an MBA, CPA or CFA. Although previous experience in the mining/minerals industry would be an advantage, the key requirements are proven experience in a similar role in a capital intensive industry, the ability to see the big picture, and the ability to ask the "why" questions, to question the status quo. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills will be key attributes.
