Tierney Law is a Tasmanian general legal practice with offices in Hobart, Huonville, and Sorell. The practice is based on long term relationships with a client base predominantly of households and small business.
THE ROLE
This full-time permanent role provides financial advice and expertise, along with management and accountability for funds. As a member of the Executive Team, the Finance Manager is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the financial framework, including the firm’s policies and procedures, as well as the upholding of values and culture.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- High level financial advice to the Board of Directors;
- Routine management reporting to the Board of Directors;
- Development and implementation of finance-related policies and procedures;
- Budgeting, firm wide and by cost centre;
- Solicitors trust account management;
- Payroll, GL, payment of accounts and cash flow management;
- External financial and tax reporting.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or similar field;
- Strong finance and management experience;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- High level ethics and integrity.
