One of Australia's favourite LIFESTYLE FASHION RETAIL BRANDS are looking to appoint a Part-Time PAYROLL OFFICER to their close knit team.


7 day fortnight!  Must be available on main processing days, being every 2nd Friday, then Monday & Tuesday of the following week.  Ideally, Week 1 - Mon, Tues & Wed; Week 2 - Mon, Tues & Fri) - some flexibility... 

Hours - 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with processing a large and complex payroll of around 1,400 staff.

Responsibilities include:-
  • Manage the payment of wages for designated States and locations.
  • Maintain payroll notices and all related paperwork (including processing of new hires, existing team member changes, terminations and leave) in Micropay and Kronos
  • Monitor Team Grids and check that correct rates and penalties are applied in line with respective Award/Agreements.
  • Assist team members with payroll queries.
  • Assist in Micropay end of pay processing and running reports as per guidelines of Payroll Processing Procedures.
  • Distribute Pay Advices to all team members.
  • Reconcile the payroll on a fortnightly basis using the Prepayments Reconciliation Form.
  • Complete various Month End processes (including reconciliation, declaration and payment of PAYG, Payroll tax and superannuation).
  • Assist with the set up and maintenance of Superannuation Funds in Micropay and clearing house.
  • Prepare Labour Turnover reports on a monthly basis.
  • Process all company Separation Certificates and Certificates of Service related queries.
  • Process all Centrelink forms and manage related queries.
  • Create new team member files and file all payroll documents.
  • Assist with NZ payroll processing as required.
  • Assist with End of Financial year processing and reconciliation.
  • Assist in payroll related projects as directed or required.

    To be successful for this role you must have:-
  • At least 2 years experience in payroll, obtained preferably within a large organisation with a flexible workforce and award based industry.
  • A detailed approach in all aspects of work and strong organisational skills to meet payroll and associated deadlines.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to manage queries and/or errors made specifically with team member pays.
  • Developed numeric and analytical skills to interpret payroll information.
  • A commitment to total Customer satisfaction to both internal and external customers.
