The client:

Our client is a leading retail property landlord looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join their team within their premium shopping centre based in Brisbane. This part time opportunity will have you working within a close knit team and responsible for all accounts management processes. 

The Role:

• Monthly and quarterly review and re-forecasting of income and expenses
• Ensuring all end of month accounting are completed 
• Preparation of monthly reports, quarterly reports and annual reports including variance analysis
• Assist Property Managers to keep outgoings recovery details updated in Property Information Management Systems (PIMS) (MRI) and assist in annual outgoings recovery wash up reconciliations.
• Take a proactive approach to the annual outgoings audit process which includes liaising with external auditors and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Preparation and presentation of reports and forecasts
• Be logical in following sequences and savvy with numbers

The successful candidate:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounts role, with retail shopping centre or commercial property experience highly regarded
• Strong experience using MRI software or commercial property accounting programs essential
• Highly proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook
• Be highly organised and a team player
• Be a good communicator
• Enthusiasm and dedication to your role
• Highly organised with the ability to multitask
