Our client is a market leader in their field, offering a range of consumable products to the retail industry. They have an excellent reputation for service delivery and staff development. 

Following a recent promotion, they are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their commercial business support team.

About the Role

Reporting to the financial controller, you will be driving consistent interpretations of reporting and analysis, using systems, business processes and technologies to establish, consolidate and deliver analysis and insights across the business.

Key responsibilities:

• • Individual Accountabilities
  • Ensure accounts are in compliance with Accounting Standards
  • Timely production of weekly results and management reporting
  • Support in a timely manner the process and production of statutory and ASX reporting requirements
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly consolidated income statements, financial positions and cash flow statements within monthly reporting timetable
  • Provide financial analysis as required
  • Ad hoc duties or requirements associated with the finance function to ensure effective and efficient business operation as directed
  • To proactively identify and initiate process improvements and to challenge the ‘status-quo"

Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Big 4 audit or advisory experience, ideally within FMCG or retail
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Degree qualification in Finance, Business or Economic 
• Preferably CA / CPA qualified
