The position is residential in Mount Isa on an attractive 9 day fortnight (5/2/4/3 roster) and reports directly into a Senior Financial Accountant.

 

Working as part of a broad finance team that incorporates a site based Financial Accounting and Business Analysis function performing planning, analysis and reporting as well as consolidated financial reporting to our head office. You’ll be provided partnering opportunities within the various finance functions to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to preparation of monthly finance reports, financial accounting, preparation of internal and external audit supporting documents, assistance in taxation reporting, general ledger reconciliations, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and providing comprehensive support regarding compliance and governance.

You will require a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a medium to large enterprise within a similar role. You will hold a degree in Accounting/Finance and CA/CPA qualified (or working towards). You will have demonstrated experience working in teams, problem solving and providing analytical support. It is essential that you are competent within the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience in ERP – Ellipse, SAP, HFM or similar.
