Key Responsibilities
- Provide forward looking financial insight and advice, forecast financial performance through linking financial outcomes with a deep understanding of strategic issues and opportunities facing the business.
- Financial control and governance in accordance with risk appetite, policies and procedures.
- Provide finance support to senior leaders within Customer Strategy and Global Partners and provide a strategic influence on the business strategy.
- Develop, review and approve the annual budget, rolling 3 year forecasts.
- Develop, review and approve business cases, business plans, scorecards, and analysis providing business context.
- Develop frameworks and direction of potential corporate development opportunities. Assist the Global Partners team in the execution of these.
- Tight control over expenditure including FTE tracking, capex and allocation of costs.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure engagement and support for strategies.
- Design and implement financial support services and reporting in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Design and implement performance measurement systems and reporting tools that measure performance against relevant benchmarks.
- Develop, implement and continue to enhance customer profitability metrics and frameworks.
Skills & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting (or similar)
- Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA)
- Significant experience in senior finance roles in medium to large financial services organisation
- Experience within corporate development
- Ability to synthesise & summarise information
- Risk management expertise
- Extensive business experience across a variety of business areas at an operational and strategic level
- Experience in being part of a senior leadership team within the financial services sector
- Experience in developing business strategy (both long and short term)
- Proven track record of thought leadership and change management at a senior level
- Proven track record in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders or customers
