The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Tax and Assets Officer to join the Financial Control team. This role will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of all FBT and GST reporting within an environment of continuous process improvement. As part of this role, you will also gain exposure to international taxes and state taxes. also acts as a reference point for tax-related queries and being proactive in delivering appropriate support to the broader University community. The role has responsibility for financial reporting and analysis of assets and provides input into the development and review of related policies and procedures.
About You
To be successful within this role, you will be degree qualified and ideally working towards your CA/CPA qualification. You will have a background in a similar role with experience in GST and FBT legislation. You will have strong knowledge of accounting principles and be quick to pick up new systems and processes. You will have evidence of a passion for continuous improvement coupled with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary Range
HEW Level 6 $74 972 – $80 042 plus 17% superannuation
