Construction Engineer (Mid and Senior levels)
Location: Southeast Melbourne, VIC
Our client is a leading global engineering consultancy recognised for providing outstanding solutions to the urban development, infrastructure and built environment markets for over 50 years. They have a large team of highly-skilled professionals in Town Planning, Urban Design, Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Business Development, Marketing and Administration support.
They have an amazing team and a great culture and are looking for an experienced Construction Engineer to join their company and assist in the delivery of large scale residential sub divisional projects.
The Opportunity: If you’re looking for exposure to a wide range of projects in Melbourne’s growth areas and are motivated by the opportunity of working with in-house Town Planners, Urban Designers, Civil Engineers, Surveyors and Architectures.
The Construction Engineers (mid and senior) will enjoy driving the tendering process, preparing all contract documentation, auditing the works and acting as the primary liaison point.
Your Role:
Feasibility & Construction;
Project Management;
Contract Administration; and Business Development.
You will ideally have:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent;
Advanced practical knowledge of civil engineering design and infrastructure construction techniques;
Thorough understanding of relevant Australian Standards;
Advanced understanding of Victorian land development processes;
Strong customer and quality focus with an appreciation of our “relationships first” approach;
Strong project management skills, time management and delegation skills;
Construction Auditing Accreditation;
Experience in undertaking QA audits for sewer & water reticulation works and Melbourne Water drainage works & retarding basins;
Experience in large scale residential, road and bulk earthworks;
Contract management / superintendent experience;
Completion of “Construction OH&S Induction” course;
Proven ability to deliver within time and budgetary controls;
Ability to produce tenders and associated documentation;
High level written and verbal communication skills and intermediate skills in MSOffice;
Current Victorian Driver’s Licence; and
A mind-set for continual improvement and innovation.
