Wood is currently recruiting for an Associate Accountant to join our team in Melbourne on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for all tasks relating to the billing of an Exxon Mobil project, month end close and providing support for contract reporting and audit queries.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate allocation of time and costs to contracted work
- Invoice client in accordance with contract
- Manage customer financial audit processes & ensure resolution is reached
- Ensure customer payments meet contractual timing, workings with client representation to ensure all invoices are paid timely
- Liaises with client representatives, and project personnel to resolve billing queries
- Reports contract performance and analyses variances
- Ensure rates data changes captured in a timely manner and provided to the client for their approach
- Responsible for ensuring all revenue and costs are accurately allocated for assigned Projects Ageing and reconciliation of Unbilled Revenue account for assigned contracts Requirements
- Undertake all month end related task and analysis for the contract eg accruals
Skills / Qualifications
- Accounting Degree and qualified CPA / CA (or currently working towards)
- Experience in a similar role
- Intellectually capable & can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a particular context
- Professional demeanour, interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate team working skills
- Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn
- Flexible with a can-do attitude
