Your new company
Our client is a well established property investment company located on the lower north shore. Due to an influx of work, they are looking to bring on a senior assistant accountant to support the team of accountants as well as manage autonomous work. The company has an open plan office with a warm, friendly culture and within walking distance to plenty of cafes, shops and stores.
Your new role
You will be supporting the property and financial accountants with putting together month end reports on entities as well as get to have full ownership of some accounting processes. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing the P&L
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Month end closing
- Accruals & prepayments
- Statutory accounting
- Gathering and interpreting data
- Full function payroll of 30 staff
- Ad hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
This role would suit someone who is looking for a steady, stable position - not so much someone keen on fast tracking their career. You will have local experience within a similar position and have an excellent understanding of month end and payroll. You will be a team player, be able to work under tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills. Strong Excel skills would be extremely beneficial as well as experience with an ERP system.
