The Company
My client is a large and well-established financial services firm who have experienced recent growth. The currently have a role for a highly talented Team Leader within their Financial Control team. This role is initially being recruited as a contract, so immediate starts are available, but it is to fill a permanent need within the business. Successful candidates could therefore become a permanent employee in the near future.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller your responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership to a 6 person team.
- Support the provision of accounting and reporting services to support the Financial Control team.
- Ensure month-end requirements, including statutory and regulatory reporting are completed in a timely manner.
- Implement and monitor accounting policies and internal controls.
- Perform inter-company transaction reconciliations.
- Manage capital expenditure.
The Candidate
Successful candidates will have:
- An accounting qualification.
- Experience with statutory and regulatory accounting.
- An ambitious and driven approach with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to build rapport with key internal and external stakeholders.
- A high level of initiative and the ability to manage complex issues when they arise.
