Our client is an International Freight Company who have a small, yet profitable branch located in beautiful Manly. With Head Office based in Auckland the role as Accountant will have a strong affiliation with both local and overseas account reporting.
 
The full time position will be wide and varied and will require sound knowledge of accounting principles as well as the ability to do lower level tasks as required.
 
This role includes the daily management of the accounting department in accordance to the accounting department standards, including;

• daily accounts receivable and payable processing
• daily, weekly and monthly accounts payable reconciliations and payments
• weekly management reporting
• processing of credit applications in conjunction with management
• producing weekly cash management
• Producing monthly accounts
• Assisting external tax accountants in the filing of annual tax accounts.
• Processing fortnightly salary payments
• Processing twice monthly PAYG returns and payments
• Processing monthly GST returns and payments
• Reconciling and processing monthly intercompany charges and payments
• Calculating monthly commissions and paying quarterly
• Processing quarterly FBT return and payments

Essential requirements include:

• Experience in managing company accounts
• International payments and foreign exchange experience
• Experience in import/ export, international trade or shipping industries
• Exceptional communications skills
• Ability to adapt to a small harmonious team
• Full Australian Working Rights

Salary: $75,000 -$85,000 + Super
Location: Manly Beach
