The Firm
This mid-tier, Brisbane CBD based chartered accounting firm provides services in Corporate Finance, SMSF & Business Services, Insolvency and Audit. Their advisors work with SMEs, family businesses, listed entities, professionals, individuals and government. The firm has 145 staff members who work hard, meaning there is rarely any over-time. It has a very strong social culture, hosting regular events such as drinks, sports teams, charity fun runs and even surfing!
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, your role will include:
- Income tax planning and restructuring
- Management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting and KPI development
- Preparation of year end accounts
- Business restructures
- Business planning and strategic planning
- Business acquisitions and disposals
- Financing, structuring and returning profits to business owners
- Succession planning
- Fringe benefits tax returns
- Liaison with the Australian Taxation Office, including lodgement program management and tax debt management
- IAS’s, BAS’s, Tax Returns & Financial Statements for all entity types
The Individual
A successful candidate will possess:
- 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
- CA/ CPA qualified or on final subject of CA qualifications
- Must have ability to complete tax returns for all entities including SMSF
- Experience with MYOB advantageous
