Our Client:

My client is a global business who derives its revenue from a range of activities. They have a national presence and are rolling out new and exciting products on a regular basis.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the organisations management team and have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to;

  • Analyse and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all donor segments, and oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.
  • Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the ED; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organisation's financial status.
  • Manage organisational cash flow and forecasting.
  • Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
  • Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual.
  • Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the board of directors.

The Successful Applicant/Candidates:

  • Accounting, business or commerce related degree. Post Graduate membership of the CAANZ or CPA and around 5 years post-qualification experience
  • Previous financial management experience in a professional service environment
  • Strong project management skills including the ability to run cross-departmental and national projects
  • Experience managing and developing a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a pro-active interest in the continuous development of systems and performance reporting
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are met
