The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist to enhance the quality of financial decisions for institute units.
- Provide strategic financial advice and partner with units to operationalize key priorities establishing a plan for analysis of business operating models from a finance perspective, and determining priorities, financial planning, target setting, driving revenue generation, regular forecasting, comprehensive costing analysis and reporting of the achievement of financial plans.
- Proactively identify and highlight areas of opportunity and risk with an analysis of financial impact and assist in solutions development & implementation.
- Provide financial advice to stakeholders on business case development.
- Ensuring the organisation's Capex Budgets, forward estimates and reforecasts are developed, phased and loaded into the financial information system, in line with corporate and business unit planning outcomes and reporting timeframes.
- Build positive relationships with key stakeholders to build financial literacy, promote finance business practice
- Actively contribute and provide guidance on broader strategic and business planning processes by providing analysis of results, financial management reports, comparisons and trend analysis to support sound decision making.
- Development of all expenditure and revenue budgets in consultation with specialist Finance colleagues and budget owners.
- Drive change and improvement in budgeting, reporting, fiscal responsibility and financial processes to ensure operational needs are met and processes are effective and efficient for everyone.
The Successful Applicant/Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years experience, post qualification
- CA/CPA/CIMA qualified
- Highly developed computer skills with advanced knowledge in large ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle
- Experience using Business Intelligence applications
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills
