The Opportunity
Great opportunity for an experienced manager or senior manager with strong unit pricing experience to move full time into a project management role. Reporting to the Head of Finance your role will focus on the following:
- Project management of all unit pricing compensation issues
- Maintenance of the compensation policy and procedures to market standard
- Development of appropriate compensation models
- Co-ordination with external consultants to where relevant ensure integrity of the compensation model and review and sign off on calculations as appropriate
- Working with Enterprise Risk Management and other internal/external stakeholders to assess incidents from a pricing/compensation perspective in accordance with the Compensation Policy
- Undertaking compensation calculations including obtaining all necessary data from internal and external stakeholders and external service providers
- Determining appropriate compensation outcomes ie units/cash in consultation with relevant stakeholders
- Developing necessary project plans/timelines and ensuring compensation outcomes are implemented with all necessary stakeholders engaged, implications considered and necessary actions identified and executed
- Provide overall management of pricing/compensation incidents and manage to closure in a timely manner and in accordance with target/required dates
- Report on status of outstanding pricing/compensation incidents, noting issues and flagging status on a green/amber/red basis with appropriate commentary around rating
- Provide support in maintaining a continuous improvement mindset and eliminating risks to the business.
This role is a 2 year contract but for the right candidate can also be offered as a permanent role.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10 years + experience in fund accounting or audit within investment management industry
- Strong project management skills
- Professional accounting (CA/CPA) or actuarial qualification
- Sound understanding of unit pricing and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of the unit pricing compensation process
