We are seeking a qualified accountant with sound commercial experience to be the Group Accountant for a range of small businesses, including property interests.
As the Group Accountant your responsibilities will include:
Accounting function - The preparation of financial reports for a group of companies, including management accounts, BAS returns, cash forecasts, attending to the payment of both business and private expenses, attending to the daily banking and bank account reconciliations.
Property function - Regular liaison with property managers and undertaking of the property management role where no agent is engaged.
Skills and experience requirements
This position would suit a self-motivated mature individual with a stable employment history and a successful track record in a medium sized business environment.
You will need to be very hands-on, accurate, have a strong eye for detail and be able to fit into a small professional management team.
To be successful a sound knowledge of accounting principles, MYOB, Excel and payroll, as well as the ability to draft and type correspondence to a 'business' standard, is essential.
A background in property will be highly regarded.
An accounting degree or CA/CPA qualification is required.
