Northrop Grumman has a strong and growing customer base in Australia and has been supporting a variety of both defence and civil programs here for more than 20 years. It is a key supplier in the defence, security, information systems, and public safety communications markets.
Northrop Grumman Australia Technology Services (NGA TS) is an Operating Unit of the Global Logistics and Modernization (GLM) Division of Northrop Grumman Technology Services. The total capabilities encompass all levels of integrated logistics support including engineering, maintenance, modification, repair, in-service monitoring, reliability, training, planning, purchasing and supply.
A requirement for a Financial Controller has been created to be responsible for providing strategic leadership, business advice and expert guidance on all areas of financial management within NGA TS. The position supports the National Business Manager with financial acumen required to drive the best outcomes for the portfolio of programs within NGA-TS.
The successful candidate will be a qualified CPA/CA Professional who will provide hands-on leadership to the OU supporting a diverse range of stakeholders requiring minimal supervision. You will have demonstrated experience working in a complex and geographically dispersed environment and will have detailed knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation and policies.
To be successful in this position the candidate must have:

- Be an independent, highly motivated and dynamic team member and able to demonstrate effective leadership
- Commitment to continuous improvement and management of change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish rapport with a non-financial savvy audience
- Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills
- Experience working with government/defence contracts (desired)
Success Profile:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
- CPA/CA Qualified (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated capability in leading & managing an operational team
