The Client
We are working with a Manufacturing and Supply oraganisation who are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Officer / Assistant Accountant to join the team on a 6 month basis to take ownership of the transactional elements within the team focusing on foreign exchange transactions and forward exchange contracts. This will be a hands on role and requires a motivated, highly analytical and proactive candidate to join immediately.
The Role
Working closely with the Finance Manager you will be required to perform the following but not be limited to:
- Performing daily Bank Reconciliations
- Allocations of daily foreign exchange payments
- Preparation of daily / weekly foreign exchange cashflow forecasting
- Maintaining foreign exchange register
- General Ledger reconciliations
- Posting all foreign exchange journals as required
The Successful Candidate
You will have prior experience within a high transaction environment and be exposed with dealing with foreign exchange transactions previously. You will be a team player, have strong business acumen and be detailed orientated to work within a fast paced environment. Other attributes about your profile will contain:
- Be Degree Qualified
- Have exposure with large ERP systems
- Excel savvy with ability to work with large spreadsheets and create Pivot Tables and VLookups
- Dealing with foreign exchange / FX contracts and experience with cashflow forecast
- Exposure to Multi Currency payments and transactions
- Confident communication and negotiation skills
- Be immediately available to interview and commence the role immediately
- Free onsite parking available - must have own car

You will be working closely with a Manager who will show you the ropes that will give you the opportunity to leverage your skills, build on your skills during the 6 month period. For the right candidate this role will be paying between $30 - $33 per hour + super with an immediate start.
