The Company
We are working with a FMCG business located within the Parramatta region who looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the team to cover a 12 month maternity leave position. You will be working with an amazing team who love to work hard but also have a bit of fun. The team is a social bunch who would love to welcome on board a passionate Payroll professional that can be a team player and join the Payroll family.
The Role
You will be working within a team environment, reporting to the Payroll Manager and be responsbile for:
- Processing a weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll for a company with 900+ employees
- Taking ownership of the full function, end to end payroll process
- Processing and calculation of new starters, terminations, superannuation's and payroll taxes
- Maintaining all new and current employee files - providing excellent customer service for all payroll related queries and matters
- Strong understanding and interpretation of EBAs and AWARDS - this is a must
- Continuously be involved with creating efficiency's within the team i.e process improvements
- Assisting Payroll Manager with any payroll reporting as required
The Successful Candidate
This is a challenging yet exciting role and will require the candidate to have at least 3 years experience within a full function and end to end Payroll Position. Your profile will consist of:
- 3 years experience within a Full Function End to End Payroll environment
- Must have experience with Micropay Meridian
- Must have experience and exposure with understanding and interpreting AWARDS and EBAs
- FMCG experience highly advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills is a must - will be required to business partner
- Will be highly analytical, problem solver and proactive to provide solutions quickly and accurately
On Offer
For the right candidate this role will be paying between $35 - $40 per hour + super and will be for a 12 month period to cover a maternity leave position. This role will be moving quickly, so you will be immediately available to interview and commence the role if successful. You will will be working with a fun team who are experienced Payrollers so there is an opportunity to gain new skills and add value to your current skill set.
