We are recruiting for an exciting new position as a Treasury Operations Manager to join our Finance team in Sydney.
This position reports to our Head of Treasury and Financial Systems and will focus on the needs of internal and external stakeholders, the role is focused on ensuring the timely and accurate recording and reporting of all financial transactions conducted through Scottish Pacific’s wholesale funding / trust account arrangements and the interaction with operational teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage teams who perform reporting to funders, manage the cash reconciliation between our accounting and core systems and provide support to operations teams
- To maintain and enhance the mapping between the core receivables and accounting systems, in particular to ensure accurate mapping of client receivables to bank account and to the General Ledger
- Maintain and enhance the financial control environment in relation to cash, including the interaction of finance in end to end operational processes
- Ensure daily / monthly reporting obligations to funders are met and are accurate, timely and complete
- Forecast monthly and intra-month treasury requirements and manage required cash movements between funding vehicles
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating and lifting the performance of operations teams
- Demonstrated experience / qualifications in process improvement
- Experience with Management Accounting methods & tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think laterally and solve problems
- Good Microsoft Excel modelling and Word skills
The ideal candidate will be degree CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in accounting in a financial services environment.
